Raleigh, North Carolina – Treyten Lapcevich delivered a standout performance at the Puryear125 CARS Tour race on Saturday night at Wake County Speedway, securing a second-place finish despite facing significant challenges. Driving the #77 Evirum/BKFC Lapcevich showcased remarkable resilience, recovering from a flat tire early in the race to come close to victory.

Victory was at reach once again for the Chad Bryant Racing driver, Treyten’s journey to the front of the pack was marked by a flat tire within the first 25 laps and a broken sway bar, yet Lapcevich pushed through these setbacks to remain in contention. He battled fiercely with Lander Lewis and ‘Butterbean’ Queen for the top positions, finishing
just shy of the winner.

This impressive performance followed an eventful week for Lapcevich, who was reinstated as the North Wilkesboro Speedway winner following an appeal hearing on Tuesday afternoon.

“I’m proud of our performance,” said Lapcevich. “We had a strong car, and I know we could have won the race.

Given the flat tire and the sway bar issue, I’m pleased with second place. It’s a testament to how we can overcome adversity as a team and are moving forward.”

Despite the challenges faced, Lapcevich’s second-place finish at the Puryear125 underscores his skill and determination. “Finishing second after such a difficult race and after an emotionally difficult week is a significant achievement for our team,” he added. “We showed resilience and strength, and I’m excited for the upcoming races.”

The next zMAX CARS Tour race is set for August 30th at Florence Motor Speedway in Florence, South Carolina. Fans can catch all the zMAX CARS Tour action live on FloRacing.
