Mirabel, Quebec – The Allrem Racing team is gearing up for the penultimate event of the 2024 NASCAR Canada presented by Pinty’s and Evirum season, as they head to Delaware Speedway.

Originally scheduled two weeks ago, the race was postponed to September 8 due to bad weather. This Sunday, Steve Côté will be at the wheel of the #29 Evirum/BKFC Chevrolet, ready to take on Delaware’s historic oval in Ontario. Just minutes from London, this track is one of the oldest in Canada, having opened in 1952. Paved in the 1960s, it has remained in operation ever since.

Côté will make his NASCAR Canada debut at Delaware in the 200-lap race, but the track isn't completely new to him. The Allrem Racing team conducted test sessions at that location two weeks ago, giving them valuable experience ahead of Sunday.

“I really enjoyed this track,” Côté shared. “It’s the first 1/2-mile oval I’ve raced on this season. I love the speed of this type of circuit. A lap takes about 19 seconds here, compared to around 13 seconds at Autodrome Chaudière.”

For Steve Côté, a return to oval racing is a trip back to his roots, a type of track he particularly enjoys. Only two races remain this season – Delaware Speedway this weekend and the grand finale at Autodrome Montmagny.

According to Jonathan Côté, the team’s crew chief, the race to the finish line is in full swing. “The 2024 schedule has left us with little time between races. Since mid-August, we've been working non-stop preparing for each event. But we're riding a wave of momentum and motivation after our result at CTMP, and we’re focused on keeping that momentum.”

Earlier in the season at Autodrome Chaudière, Côté posted the 6th fastest time in practice and qualified 5th, though mechanical issues pushed him down to 13th in the final standings. Now, the team is looking to rebound in Ontario and finish the season with back-to-back Top 5 finishes.

Fans attending the event will also have the chance to receive giveaways from BKFC, the world’s fastest-growing combat sport. Steve Côté and the entire Allrem Racing team would also like to wish Quebec fighter Jade Masson-Wong the best of luck as she headlines BKFC 65 in Salt Lake City this Friday, September 6.

At the Delaware Speedway, practice kicks off at 11:00 a.m., followed by qualifying at 2:30 p.m. The Delaware 200 will start at 4:30 p.m. For those unable to attend, the race will be streamed live on the TSN+ or FloRacing app.
