Caistor Centre, Ontario - Jamie Turner and sons Cory and Ryan set for another hectic weekend, with four different tracks across Ontario on the Team Turner Racing schedule. Jamie, Cory, and Ryan were all in action this past weekend as well, with racing at Ohsweken Speedway and Merrittville Speedway, while Humberstone Speedway's even fell to rain.

FRIDAY, JUNE 6
Jamie and Cory were part of a 22 car field for the third round of weekly 360 Sprint Car racing at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday, June 6.

Cory's introduction to open wheel racing continued with difficult track conditions on Friday, and he fell from 5th to 8th in his heat race. A trip to the B-Main was the result, where he drove from 7th to 3rd to earn a transfer spot to the A-Feature.

"We made wholesale changes for the B-Main, and they definitely made the car a lot better," says Cory. "In the A-Feature, I started 18th and had passed 6 cars in the first 7 laps, until I hit the inside wall in turn 2. It bent my left front rim, flattened my tire, and ended my night."

Jamie also survived the treacherous track to bring home an 18th place finish in the A-Feature, which went green-to-checkered without a caution flag.

Jamie finds himself 11th in the championship points standings at Ohsweken, while Cory is 13th, and leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

SATURDAY, JUNE 7
Saturday began bright and early with Ryan's #91 DIRTcar Sportsman Modified joining the Dunnville Mudcat Parade. Team Turner Racing had a great time in the parade, not only representing all of the team's marketing partners, but also having a chance to chat with fans and friends. The weather was great, and so was the turnout!

Team Turner hustled down to Merrittville Speedway after the parade, and joined a field of 27 DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds for the opening round of the "King of Crates" series. Ryan started 6th in his heat race, and found it tough to advance as he finished 6th, one spot outside a transfer directly to the A-Feature. He finished 4th in the B-Main, earning a 19th place start in the A-Feature.

Like the Sprint Car race at Ohsweken the night before, the Sportsman race at Merrittville went green-to-checkered without a caution flag. Ryan was able to advance to finish 17th on the extremely slick track surface.

Ryan was also lucky enough to be drawn for a $200 bonus from Terry Keagan at Baron Roofing and Siding at Merrittville on Saturday, and it is very much appreciated.

Ryan is currently 13th in the championship points standings at Merrittville.

SUNDAY, JUNE 8
Heavy rain spoiled another special event on Sunday, as Humberstone Speedway was set to host a "Tri Track" series event for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Speedway officials are working with those from Merrittville Speedway and Ransomville Speedway to reschedule the event. Ryan remains 13th in the championship points standings at Humberstone.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Jamie and Cory have three races at three different tracks planned for this weekend with their 360 Sprint Cars. Their triple-header weekend starts at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday, June 13, followed by stops on the Southern Ontario Sprints tour at Brighton Speedway on Saturday, June 14, and Humberstone Speedway on Sunday, June 15.

Ryan's rookie season in the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified division continues with events on Saturday, June 14 at Merrittville Speedway, and Sunday, June 15 at Humberstone Speedway.
