To Feature TUSA Modified Lite & New Sportsman Tri Track Series Events

Thorold, Ontario – For Race Fans 18 years of age or younger ... Blast off into Summer and enjoy a FREE Night of racing in the grandstands on SMS Machine Tools Night - Saturday June 21st at Merrittville Speedway.

Both the J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lites and the Rick's Delivery Sportsman Divisions will be in the spotlight in a TUSA Modified Lite Tour Event in addition to another round of the new for 2014 Tri Track Series . Joining the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series program are the Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks and the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders.

"Schools out and it's the first day of summer," relates (Merrittville General Manager) Erica Bicknell-Jones, "there's no better way to Blast Off into the holidays than a night at the races."

The TUSA Modified Lite Hoosier Tire Mr. Dirt Racing Series Tour is part of an 8 Race Canadian West Regional Series that includes visits to Ohsweken and Humberstone Speedways and includes the two day J&S Heating and Air Condtioning TUSA Canadian International Modified Lite Championship Weekend September 5th and 6th.

The 25 lap Event will pay the winner $300.00 of an overall $1,850.00 purse. The overall champion of the West Regional Series will be awarded $500.00 of a point fund totaling more than $2,500.00 and could increase as more Entries are received during the season.

This coming weekend, the Merrittville Event is in the middle of stops at the Ohsweken and Humberstone Speedways with the same busy schedule set for August 22 – 24.

Also in the spotlight is the second round of the new for 2014 Tri Track Series for Sportsman from Ransomville, Merrittville and Humberstone Speedways.

Don Spatorico won the opener back on May 16th at Ransomville in the Investor's Services Main Event and the second has yet to be rescheduled after June 1st's Seaway Mall Night at Humberstone was rained out.

The second event at Ransomville is set for August 8th's Grelak Mechanical Tim Hortons Night while Humberstone will host their second on CAA Niagara Night Sunday August 31st. Hingston Metal Fabricators Night will present the second Saturday Night Event here as part of July 26th's Minor Sport Night.
