The Burger Barn Summer Nationals wll be a "Race For The Cure" event in support of Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.
Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway officials are proud to announce that the Burger Barn Northern Summer Nationals on Monday, July 28 have taken on added importance. Ohsweken Speedway, Grand River Power Sports, 21st Century Signs, Brant News, and the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation have partnered to make the Burger Barn Northern Summer Nationals a "Race For the Cure" event in support of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.
Several special events are planned for the July 28 race night at Ohsweken Speedway, including a special presentation during intermission which will include the participation of drivers, fans, and track officials. The annual Burger Barn Northern Summer Nationals event includes the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland's GMC Crate Sprint Cars, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and the only appearance of the season at the track for the DIRTcar 358 "Small Block" Modifieds.
Drivers and will be collecting pledges in advance of the event, and the top three drivers who have raised the most pledges will be awarded with prizes. Specially designed "Race For The Cure" key chains are also available for $5, with all proceeds to going to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.
Donations can also be made in advance, or at the track on July 28.
