Thorold, Ontario - An action-packed Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series event at Merrittville Speedway will help Hingston Metal Fabricators celebrate their 61st year in business Saturday July 26th with anyone 18 years of age and younger FREE in their team sweaters in the Grandstand.

"Our Minor Sport Night every year is a great deal," relates (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, "for the kids it's great for summer teams to get together away from the field before the season ends or for those waiting to get back on the ice – it's a great chance to bring a team together as is the Tri Track Series which involves racers from here at Merrittville in addition to Humberstone and Ransomville Speedways."

About a month ago on SMS Machine Tools Night June 21st, Brad Rouse won the first visit of the 2014 Sportsman Tri Track Series and in both the Merrittville and Humberstone overall point standings the defending Mr. DIRTcar Champ sits in third spot.

Here at Merrittville, James Friesen leads Cody McPherson while Sunday Nights – it's Gary Lindberg ahead of McPherson who was the last winner here back on Lucas Oil Reunion Night July 12th.

At Ransomville Speedway – Jesse Cotriss leads Friesen by a single point with Greg Martin in third.

The 2014 Tri Track Series by Van Raine Construction and VP Racing Fuel for the Sportsman has two events to close out the Mini-Series – Friday August 8th at Ransomville and Sunday August 17th at Humberstone.

"While we are hoping to reschedule Semenuks Esso and Archer Truck Service Night after last Saturday's unfortunate rain out," added Bicknell-Jones, "the second round of the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinder Triple Crown Series has been added to this Saturday's program."
Leroy Buscumb's first 2014 Feature Win opened the Series back on Archer Truck Service Semenuk's Esso Night and leads the Triple Crown Points ahead of Jason Coutu, defending Mini-Series Champion Tyler Lafantaisie, Kyle Rothwell and Evan Curtis. Buscumb also leads the overall standings ahead of Lafantaisie, Curtis, Coutu and Mike Sadusek.
