EMPIRE SUPER SPRINTS VERSUS CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS (24 entries)
Steve Poirier added another notch in his Ohsweken Speedway belt by taking his 7th career feature win at the track in Friday's ESS vs. Corr/Pak event. The 25 lap feature began with a wild flip for 4th starter Jeremy Hughes which brought out the red flag before the first lap was completed. Hughes climbed uninjured from his heavily-damaged car. The remainder of the race ran uninterrupted. Kevin Ward, Jr. took the lead early, while Poirier moved from 10th to 5th on the first lap, and into 2nd by lap 5. Poirier drove around Ward and into the lead on lap 11, but gave the lead back to Ward on lap 14 when he hit a bump and nearly flipped in turn 1. Poirier retook the lead on lap 19, clinched the win a few laps later with a daring move to put several lapped cars behind him, and went on to win by 1.625 seconds over Ward, while Jason Barney, Mitch Brown, and Jeff Cook took top 5 finishes. Corr/Pak championship points leader Glenn Styres was the hard charger, after he moved from his provisional 23rd starting spot to finish 7th.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS (36 entries)
The Thunder Stock championship chase took another turn on Friday, as Wyatt Van Wart's race went up in smoke just 4 laps into the 20 lap feature. Van Wart entered the race as the points leader, but wasn't able to restart the race and ended up being credited with a 23rd place finish. Dave Silverthorn, Jr. entered the night 2nd in the standings, but also had problems with a flat tire early in the race. His crew was able to change the tire and get him back on track without losing a lap, and he eventually drove through the field to finish 4th and take over the championship points lead. Karl Sault led the first 8 laps of the race before Lee Winger charged by, but Winger gave way to Chris Dickie on lap 16, as Dickie went on to record his first win of the season. Winger settled for 2nd, followed by Sault, Silverthorn, and Dave Bailey.
