"The Formula 2000 Championship Series looks to grow again this season after a 20 year absence in the Canadian marketplace," said Jason Sharpe,” series promoter. "We have enjoyed a renewed interest in formula car racing in Canada and our goal with F2000 is to continually add cars to the series as the season progresses, culminating with our participation in the Chevrolet Silverado 250 weekend in support of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. We are thrilled to have been included on that weekend and look forward to showcasing Canadian open-wheel talent on a grand scale,” he added.
The Formula 2000 Canada Championship Series looks to fill a large void in Canadian motorsports. Offering young competitors a cost effective means to continue to develop their skills and brands in an effort to move up the motorsports ladder, while providing seasoned open wheel enthusiasts a competitive and fun racing environment in ultra fast, technologically advanced cars.
