Bowmanville, Ontario - The opening weekend of the CASC-OC road season season got underway in almost perfect conditions today at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, with a full slate of regional classes, plus the opening rounds of the F2000 Canada Series and the Radical Canada Cup.

The first race of the weekend saw 18 F1200 cars take the grid and a tight 4-way battle for the lead with Phil Wang leading the early going, hotly pursued by Kevin Kapelke, Michael Iamundi and David Taylor.

A turn 10 crash involving Phil Wang and David Taylor put the two of them out late in the race, with the win going to Kapelke, followed by Michael Iamundi. Matt Garwood, suffering with power problems lost the draft early, but ended up third after the contact between Wang and Taylor.

The second race of the after noon saw the F2000 cars grid up, with the Radicals in a grid just behind them, as both series15050205c opened their 2015 seasons.

The F2000 Canada race saw an all-out battle for win between Nathon Blok, Zacharie Robichon and Chase Pelletier, with Blok ending up on top. After leading a good deal of the race, Pelletier looked set to follow his team-mate home and make it a 1-2 sweep for Britain West, but Robichon jumped on a chance created by late-race traffic heading into turn 10 and grabbed the position, leaving Pelletier without enough laps to counter.
