With a best result of 4th in the rain the young talent will look to learn from his first season of 1600 racing and challenge for podiums and his first win.
Arnold is no stranger to winning as he has a winning history in karting including a trip to the World Finals as a member of Team Canada. A season in F1200 netted the young rookie multiple podiums and an outright win as well. Reid is supported by DPGI Print Solutions and Optimum Edge Inc. Reid will also benefit from being a member of the Piper Race Cars factory supported team BGR.
“ We are delighted to bring Reid under the awning and help him develop his craft. He had several very good runs last year and only bad luck stopped him from becoming the ROY. We are sure he will benefit from our program and knowledge with the Piper/Quicksliver Honda package. We had the opportunity to test with Reid recently and believe he has great potential. I have no doubt that Reid will be a regular visitor to the podium with BGR’s support. “ comments team principal Brian Graham.
Reid will make his debut with the BGR team this coming weekend at CTMP with the two opening rounds of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship which also includes the first two rounds of the 2015 F1600 Super Series. BGR has put more drivers in the winners circle than any other team in OFFC history and had a lock on the Rookie of the Year for 8 season in a row.
With an alumni list that boasts drivers who have gone on to Championships all over North America to several starters in the Indy 500, BGR is well known as the place to begin a career in open wheel racing.
