Canadian Racer Launches Online Platform
Toronto, Ontario – Canadian race car driver Robert Wickens is pleased to unveil a new-look for his official website, www.robertwickens.com, as he prepares for Round 2 of the 2015 DTM Series this weekend at the EuroSpeedway in Lausitz, Germany, 29th-30th May.
The 26-year-old, who this season races the #6 Team HWA Silberpfeil Energy Mercedes AMG C63 entry, has utilized the creative talents of Toronto-based digital agency, Community, to overhaul his online platform and give it a fresh, stylish look in keeping with his own personal tastes and preferences.
Of most interest to Robert was the direct incorporation of his various social media platforms on the site’s homepage, keeping fans up-to-date with his personal content and showcasing his on and off track activities, both at home in Canada and over in Europe where he competes.
“I really enjoy the interaction with fans that social media allows and I wanted to make sure that content spearheaded the look and feel of my new-look website,” stated Wickens. “It’s fun to be able to share with people what it’s like to be competing in the DTM but I also like to post some of the other things I get up to. Having everything assembled in one hub on my website gives people a great snapshot of who I am.
“I’m naturally keen to build more awareness of the DTM Series in Canada and in North America in general. Having a website that’s reflective of who I am as a competitor and as a person is important. If I can get more people to check out DTM as a result of my site then that’s an added bonus. I’m passionate about the series, we boast some of the best racing in the world and I’m excited to be able to share more of that with my new website.”
Wickens opened his 2015 DTM campaign earlier in May, scoring a seventh place finish in the second of Round 1’s double-header races at the Hockenheimring in Germany.
The DTM Series is available to watch in Canada on the CBS Sports Network on Rogers Cable.

About DTM Series:
The magic three letters ‘DTM’ once stood for ‘Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft’ (German Touring Car Championship). Today, they are the trademark of the most popular international touring car racing series. Its history began in 1984 with cars that were close to the production versions and culminated in a worldwide series for high-tech touring cars in 1996. After a three-season break the DTM, in 2000, celebrated its successful comeback with a trendsetting concept – fascinating technology at reasonable costs. Today, the series is regarded as the pinnacle of touring car racing and one of Europe’s leading sports events.
