Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - Road America is home for Kelly Moss Motorsports. But the track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, has not always rained good fortune on the team, based in nearby Madison, Wisconsin - until now.

Jesse Lazare swept Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2015 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama season Aug. 8-9 to lead an eight-podium effort on a weekend dedicated to Kelly Moss President David Stone, who was unable to join the team at its home event due to illness.

"Above everything else, I'd like to dedicate this weekend to my brother," Kelly Moss Vice President Jeff Stone said. "We've worked most of our lives to get here and to build this dream. I wish he could have been here this weekend with me.

"David has been the heart and soul of Kelly Moss Motorsports for the last 27 years. He has the support of the entire Kelly Moss team wishing him well."

Lazare's double-podium weekend was his second weekend sweep of the season after taking Rounds 1 and 2 in March at Sebring International Raceway. The wins were especially sweet for the team, as it has been working tirelessly to correct an issue on the No. 21 Porsche.

"This absolutely gets the monkey of Road America off our backs," Stone said. "We've been working nonstop on Jesse's car. We've had a gremlin ever since we got the car in the beginning of the year. We finally found it and gave him a weapon he can fight with now. He's worked harder than ever to get his driving down, and he's just done fantastic job. We're really, really proud of him."

The two victories helped Lazare regain the Platinum Cup points lead heading into the final stretch of the season. He holds a 154-151 lead over second place Elliott Skeer.

David Ducote joined Lazare with podium finishes in Rounds 9 and 10. He finished second in Gold Cup and Gold Masters on Saturday and third in both classes Sunday.

"David had a great weekend overall," Stone said. "The first race was great, and then he had some trouble in the second race. I came on the radio about halfway through Sunday's race and said we've made every mistake we can make, so now let's race, and he came back. A little bit of a rough race, but we'll take it."

Jay Patel and Bill Peluchiwski continued their battle on the track and in the Platinum Masters class standings.

In the first race of the weekend, Peluchiwski started 17th overall after a tough qualifying run. But it didn't take long for him to find Patel in the field. After another intense on-track battle between the two, Patel held second place. Peluchiwski took third in class and received the Yokohama Hard Charger award.

"I started pretty far back, so I had a lot of wood to chop to get through the field," Peluchiwski said. "I worked through it, and it was a great race. Ultimately I got behind Jay and just ran out of time. We want to make sure it's interesting for everybody, and it was a lot of fun. Kelly Moss put a great car under me, and it was a great time."

Patel retained second place in the Platinum Masters standings after a sixth-place class finish in the second race. He is three points ahead, 124-121, of Peluchiwski, who finished fifth in Round 10.

"The race was great and especially trying to keep up with the lead class of cars," Patel said. "We kept it clean all the way through. And then I saw Bill behind me. We're in a battle for second-place points, but he was great charging through the field. It was a great race. Thank you to the team."

Kurt Fazekas, Dan Weyland and Frank Selldorff also competed in the Platinum and Platinum Masters classes.

Fazekas, in his Kelly Moss debut in the series, finished fifth in Platinum Masters in Round 9 and seventh in Round 10. Weyland picked up two top-10 Platinum Masters class finishes with a 10th- and eighth-place finish in each round, respectively. Selldorff finished seventh in Platinum Masters in Round 9.

Wayne Ducote had another solid weekend in the No. 60 Porsche, earning fourth-place finishes in both races for both the Gold Cup and Gold Masters class. He is fifth in both divisions' point standings.

"Jay and Bill and Kurt were all running nose to tail and doing a great job," Stone said. "They all had some misfortune in the second race, but all of our guys are feeding off of one another and making each other better, and it's really great to see that."

Kelly Moss will roll into VIRginia International Raceway for the next three rounds of Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama action with a three-point Platinum Cup Drivers Championship lead and tied for the Platinum Cup Team Championship.

"There is not a single person on our team that has not been a rock star," Stone said. "Everyone does their job, everyone has the biggest heart in the paddock, and they all put 100 percent into every day. I'm proud of every single one of them."

Rounds 11 and 12 and a rescheduled Round 4 of the championship are scheduled for Aug. 21-23 at VIR. The team will run Rounds 14 and 15 of the Pirelli World Challenge Championship GT Cup presented by MOMO the same weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.
