Elmvale, Ontario – 2015 Formula 1200 Challenge Cup Series Champion Matt Garwood is proud to announce a new partnership with Leaf Racewear for his 2016 racing season.

Leaf Racewear & Safety Equipment Inc. manufactures and distributes high quality fire resistant driver suits, undergarments, gloves, shoes, sublimated team shirts and seat belt harness systems worldwide.

Garwood, who has his sights set on earning back to back Formula 1200 Challenge Cup Series Championship titles, will work closely with Leaf Racewear on the design of his made to measure Elite series race suit featuring a double layer ultra light Nomex. The completed suit will be released at the 2016 Motorama Custom Car & Motorsport Expo March 11-13th.

The 20 year-old racecar driver from Elmvale, Ontario who’s currently studying at the Automotive Business School of Canada powered by Georgian College, recently had the opportunity to visit Leaf Racewears’ facility in London Ontario Canada. Garwood was able meet with the staff and see firsthand the amount of time, preparation and skill that goes into designing and fabricating motorsport safety equipment.

Over the past six years Garwood has had many accomplishments to be proud of racking up Four Karting Championships, the 2012 Formula 1200 Rookie of the year award recipient as well as the 2015 Formula 1200 Challenge Cup Series Championship.
