One month after the previous round of the FIA F.3 European Championship at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, the Prema team is lining-up their four Mercedes-powered Dallara racecars again for the prestigious street event at the Norisring. The extremely quick racetrack located on the outskirts of Nurnberg has a fascinating history for both its location and histoty.
The Italian squad, led by Angelo Rosin, is lining-up in Germany with Lance Stroll leading the championship table. The young Canadian has 166 points and an healthy 38-point advantage over his closest contender. Prema also has all its four drivers in the top-10 in standings. Maximilian Gunther is holding third place with 123 points, Nick Cassidy is sixth with 83 and rookie Ralf Aron is tenth with 67. As happened at Red Bull Ring, the FIA F.3 weekend will be shared with the DTM Championship.
René Rosin – Team Manager
“This is a really particular racetrack. It may seem easy on paper, but it actually has many hidden dangers. Last year we weren’t the quickest there, so we really want to rebound and try to climb to the top step of the podium, a feature we have missed since 2013. Regarding the overall standings, Stroll has a consistent margin and I think he will have the chance to start managing the situation a bit instead of attacking throughout the whole weekend”.
