Practice for the 2016 Honda Indy got under way Friday, with Penske's Simon Pagenaud setting the fastest time of the combined sessions turning a 1:01.7081. The top 3 was filled out by Pagenaud's Penske's team mates Helio Castroneves with a 1:01.9091 & Will Power with a 1:02.0573

Joining the leading Penske duo at the press conference was Oakville's James Hinchcliffe, who was 5th quickest on the day, and the fastest of the Honda runners, with a 1:02.1867.

Fourth fastest was Ganassi driver Scott Dixon turning a best lap of 1:02.0702.

Final practice goes Saturday at 9:45 a.m with qualifying set to get underway at 1:30 p.m.
