The world-renowned Spa-Francorchamps venue will be the home of the seventh round of the FIA F.3 European Championship this weekend. The challenging and fascinating track located in the Ardennes forest has much to offer, from its fast corners steeped in motorsports history, to challenging variable weather conditions that make every practice, qualifying or race session truly unique.
The Prema team is set to be back on-track after their stunning showing two weeks ago when they scored three 1-2 finishes at Zandvoort with three different drivers climbing at the top of the podium. The Italian squad, led by Angelo Rosin, will rely on championship leader Lance Stroll (259 points), Maximilian Gunther, who stands second at 209, Nick Cassidy, currently sitting fourth with 172 points, and Ralf Aron, who is eighth overall with 94 points but leads the rookie classification.
As the series is lining-up jointly with the 24 Hour os Spa-Francorchamps, the race schedule will be anticipated by one day.
René Rosin – Team Manager
“It will be a very important weekend for Prema, running in both the FIA F.3 event and in the GP2 Series at Hockenheim. We are in a positive moment but the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is different for so many reasons and nothing can be taken for granted there. Considering what happened in 2014 and 2015, when we didn’t bring home any wins, I prefer to avoid any predictions for the weekend but we will certainly do the utmost possible to consolidate our position in the standings."
