Antonio Serravalle readies for the Streets of Toronto
After a series of unfortunate events in Road America last month, Pserra Racing driver Antonio Serravalle is setting his sights on his hometown race. Rounds eight and nine of the Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires Championship will take place July 12-14 on the 11-turn temporary street circuit located in downtown Toronto, not far from where Serravalle grew up and currently resides.
"I am excited to be back home!" Serravalle exclaimed. "A lot of my family members and team partners do not get to attend many races, so I am excited to have many of them joining and supporting me this weekend. I am hoping that I can get some decent results, and I think that having friends and family nearby will be a huge benefit."
At Road America, Serravalle faced issues with a fuel leak and was forced to miss race one and qualifying for race two, but after starting from the tail of the field on Sunday morning, the young Canadian was able to work his way forward for a top-ten result. Now he is hoping to carry that momentum into this weekend in Toronto.
"This season has been a huge learning experience for myself and my team," Serravalle explained. "I am looking forward to the second half of the season, and I am hoping to take everything we have learned so far to improve with each remaining track session."
Antonio Serravalle is currently eleventh in the 2019 Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires Championship.
The weekend will start off with a busy day on Friday, containing the one and only practice of the weekend, followed by qualifying sessions for race one and race two. The green flag for round eight will drop at 9:25AM on Saturday morning and round nine will take place on Sunday at 9:55AM. For those who are unable to attend the race, but still wish to follow along with on-track activity, all sessions can be viewed on the Road To Indy TV app. Also, make sure to follow Serravalle on his social media platforms for updates throughout the weekend.
